CTET December 2024: Key Details

CTET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check their Educational Qualification before applying.

• Paper I (Class 1 to 5):

  • At least 50% Marks in Senior Secondary (12th Pass) + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / JBT).
  • Note: As per the Supreme Court order, B.Ed candidates are no longer eligible for Paper 1.

• Paper II (Class 6 to 8):

  • Graduation degree + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • OR Graduation (50% Marks) + Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

Application Fee

Category Wise Fee Details are provided below:

• General / OBC (NCL):
  • Paper I or Paper II (Only one): ₹1000/-
  • Both Papers: ₹1200/-
• SC / ST / Divyang:
  • Paper I or Paper II (Only one): ₹500/-
  • Both Papers: ₹600/-
• Payment Mode: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking.

CTET Exam Pattern & Selection Process

There is no Negative Marking in the CTET Exam. The examination is conducted in offline mode (Pen-Paper).

1. Written Exam: 150 Marks (150 Questions).
2. Qualifying Marks: It is mandatory to secure 90 Marks (60%) for General Category and 82 Marks (55%) for Reserved Category.
3. Result & Certificate: After passing the exam, the certificate is issued on DigiLocker, which remains Lifetime Valid.

1. First, visit the official website ctet.nic.in.
2. Click on the "Apply for CTET Dec 2024" link on the homepage.
3. Click on the "New Registration" button and fill in your basic information.
4. Note down the system-generated Application Number and Password.
5. Now, complete the Application Form and upload your Photo and Signature.
6. Pay the Examination Fee online.
7. Finally, take a printout of the Confirmation Page for future reference.
