The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a critical advisory notice for all candidates appearing in upcoming Computer-Based Examinations (CBE / CBT) as well as for examination functionaries. The notice addresses unauthorized handling, restarting, and changing of computer systems by candidates without genuine reported technical issues during previous examinations.

Strictly Prohibited Activities During SSC CBT Exams
To maintain exam integrity, security, and uniform conduct across all examination centers, the Commission has strictly banned candidates from independently carrying out the following activities:
- Restarting or shutting down the Computer System.
- Changing or replacing the Computer or Monitor without authorization.
Procedure to Report Technical Issues
If a candidate experiences any genuine technical glitch or problem with their computer system before or during the examination, they must follow these official steps:
- Report Immediately: Notify the Centre Staff, Invigilator, or authorized examination staff right away.
- Assessment & Action: The center invigilator will assess the issue and take necessary action only after receiving permission from the authorized representative of the Regional Office / Centre Coordinator.
Action Against Violators
The Commission has warned that if any candidate or Examination Functionary (EF) is found engaging in unauthorized interventions with computer systems or exam equipment, strict action will be taken against them under relevant examination rules and notices.
