SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern Updated: In-Built Calculator Permitted for Data Analysis & Interpretation
State Bank of India (SBI) has updated the SBI PO Mains exam pattern and rules. Candidates will now be allowed to use an in-built digital calculator on the computer screen during the Data Analysis & Interpretation section.

State Bank of India (SBI) has introduced an important update for aspirants appearing in the SBI PO Mains Examination. As per the latest exam instructions, candidates are now permitted to use an in-built calculator on their computer screens specifically for the Data Analysis & Interpretation test section.
SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern Overview
The SBI PO Mains Examination consists of an Objective Test of 200 marks and a Descriptive Test of 30 marks. Below is the detailed breakdown of the test scheme:
1. Objective Test (170 Questions | 200 Marks | 3 Hours)

2. Descriptive Test (3 Questions | 30 Marks | 30 Minutes)
The Descriptive Test is conducted immediately after the Objective Test. It will be conducted in English language only.
- Communication Skills: 3 out of 6 questions to be attempted for a total of 30 marks.
- Section I: Emails writing (1 out of 2) – 10 Marks
- Section II: Situation Analysis writing (1 out of 2) – 10 Marks
- Section III: Report writing / Precis Writing (1 out of 2) – 10 Marks
