SSC CGL 2026 Tier-I: Admit Card, City Intimation & Scribe Facility – All Key Updates
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a crucial notice regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier-I). The examination is scheduled to be held from 30 September 2026 to 30 October 2026. Here are all the important details that candidates need to know.
Exam City Details
Candidates appearing for the CGL 2026 Tier-I examination can view their assigned examination city details by logging into the designated login module on the official SSC website at https://ssc.gov.in. The city intimation was made available as per the notice dated 12 September 2026 published by the Commission.
Admit Card / Admission Certificate Download
The 'Admission Certificate' (Admit Card) for the said examinations will tentively be available for download two to three (02/03) days prior to the respective date of examination. Candidates can access it through the designated login module on the Commission's website. Detailed instructions regarding the same are available in the Notice published on 21.05.2026.
Own Scribe Facility – Important Updates
- Fresh Scribe Registration: Candidates availing the 'Own Scribe' facility may require to do fresh scribe registration on the Commission's website, as the registration of scribes prior to 05.11.2025 were disposed off.
- Aadhaar Integration: Scribe registration has now been integrated with Aadhaar Authentication. It is mandatory for all personnel willing to enroll/appear as a scribe to complete fresh scribe registration on the Commission's website.
- Age Limit: The maximum permissible age limit of personnel appearing as own scribe is as per the updated policy (Policy No. PP001/14/2024-PP (e-10280) dated 04.11.2025).
- Mapping Scribe OTR: Candidates who have opted for 'own scribe' will be able to map their Scribe OTR till 24.09.2026 (11:00 P.M.). Scribe Entry Pass will be generated only for those candidates who successfully map their Scribe OTR.
