SSC CGL 2026 Tier-I: Important Update on Exam Schedule, Admit Card & Scribe Registration

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a significant update regarding the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier-I). The notification provides crucial details about examination city allotment, admission certificates, and scribe registration policies. Here is everything you need to know.

SSC CGL 2026 Tier-I Examination Schedule

As per the official notice dated 12.09.2026, the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier-I) is scheduled to be held from 30.09.2026 to 30.10.2026. Candidates are advised to prepare accordingly and check their examination city details well in advance.

How to View Examination City Details

Candidates appearing for Tier-I of the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 can view their examination city details by logging into the designated login module on the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.

Admission Certificate (Admit Card) Download

The 'Admission Certificate' for the said examinations will tentatively be available for download two to three (02/03) days prior to the respective date of examination. The same can be accessed through the designated login module on the Commission's website. Detailed instructions regarding this are available in the Notice published on 21.05.2026.

Important Updates on 'Own Scribe' Facility

Fresh Scribe Registration Required

Candidates availing the 'Own Scribe' facility in Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier-I) may require to do fresh scribe registration on the Commission's website, as the registration of scribes prior to 05.11.2025 were disposed off.

Aadhaar Authentication Mandatory

The scribe registration has now been integrated with Aadhaar Authentication. Therefore, it is mandatory that all personnel willing to enroll or appear as a scribe shall complete fresh scribe registration on the Commission's website.

Age Limit Update for Own Scribe

Candidates who wish to avail the 'Own Scribe' facility will be required to submit/map their Scribe's registration number for generation of their Scribe's Entry Pass. The maximum permissible age limit of personnel appearing as own Scribe will be as per the updated policy:

• Dated: 04.11.2025
• Rest of the guidelines regarding the Scribe facility will remain the same as per the notice of the respective examination.

Scribe OTR Mapping Deadline

Candidates who have opted for 'own scribe' will be able to map their Scribe OTR till 24.09.2026 (11:00 P.M.) for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026 (Tier-I). Scribe Entry Pass will be generated only for those candidates who successfully map their Scribe OTR.
