The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an official advisory directed at candidates and exam functionaries participating in various Computer Based Examinations (CBE). The Commission observed that in previous examinations, some candidates independently or in coordination with exam staff restarted, changed, or handled computer systems without any genuine technical issues. SSC views these activities as unauthorized interventions that adversely affect the integrity, security, and fairness of the examination process.

Strictly Prohibited Activities During Exam
In order to maintain strict security protocols, the SSC has explicitly prohibited candidates and exam functionaries from performing the following activities unless specifically carried out by authorized technical staff:
- Restarting or shutting down the assigned Computer System.
- Changing or replacing the Computer system or Monitor.
What to Do in Case of Technical Issues?
If a candidate faces any genuine technical error or system freeze before or during the examination, they must follow the steps below:
- Immediately report the issue to the Invigilator or Centre Staff present in the lab.
- The Centre Staff/Invigilator will assess the technical issue.
- Appropriate action will be taken under the supervision and permission of the Regional Office/IO/Centre Coordinator.
Strict Action Against Violators
If any candidate or examination functionary is found to have independently engaged in unauthorized computer manipulation, strict disciplinary and legal action will be initiated against them as per the provisions of relevant recruitment rules and the exam notice.
