SSC JE 2026 Addendum: Revised Educational Qualification for Scientific Assistant (IMD)
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an Addendum dated 10th September 2026 regarding the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination, 2026. The addendum pertains to the revision of the Essential Educational Qualification prescribed for the post of Scientific Assistant in the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
What Has Changed?
Candidates are advised to refer to Para 2(13) of the original Notice of Junior Engineer Examination, 2026 dated 02.09.2026. The Essential Qualification for the post of Scientific Assistant (SA) in IMD has been revised as follows:

Important Note for Candidates
Note 1: Candidates possessing the qualification mentioned in (2) above must also have passed Class XII examination from a recognised Board with Physics and Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Other Provisions
As per the official addendum, all other provisions of the Notice of the said Examination shall remain unchanged.
