SSC Stenographer 2025 Zone Allocation - CBIC Preference Submission
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has released an official notification inviting online options and zone/formation preferences from successful candidates recommended by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the post of Stenographer Grade-I under the Stenographer Grade C and D Examination, 2025.
Selected candidates can now submit their zone preferences through the official online module. Below are the complete details regarding the procedure, important dates, and guidelines:

How to Submit Zone Preferences
Candidates must follow the steps below to complete their zone allocation process:
- Visit the official online preference portal: https://dghrdcbic.gov.in/allocation/userlogin
- Log in using your SSC-registered Roll Number, Mobile Number, and E-mail ID along with the verification code.
- Enter the OTP received on your registered email/mobile number.
- Check the vacancy positions and jurisdiction mapping using the tabs provided in the portal.
- Select your preferred Cadre Controlling Authorities (CCAs) from the available dropdown menu.
- Review your preferences carefully and click on Final Submit. Print or save a copy of the submitted proforma for future reference.
Important Instructions
- No Changes Allowed: Options once exercised are final and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
- Default Allocation: If a candidate fails to submit preferences by 15.09.2026, it will be presumed that they have no preference, and the department will allocate zones based on administrative exigencies.
- Change of Registered Details: Candidates needing to update their registered email or mobile number must send a request via email to us-ad3b@gov.in at least three days before the deadline along with self-attested copies of their SSC Admit Card and photo ID proof.
