SSC Steno 2025 Zone Allocation and Options by CBIC

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has invited online options and preferences from candidates selected through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Stenographer Grade I & II Examination, 2025 for the allocation of zones and formations.

Selected candidates who have been nominated by SSC to CBIC for appointment as Stenographer Grade-I are required to submit their zone/formation preferences through the official online module before the deadline.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

• Online Portal: Candidates must submit their preferences via the official portal at https://dghrdcbic.gov.in/allocation/userlogin.
• Login Credentials: Log in using your SSC registered Roll Number, E-mail ID, and Mobile Number.
• Final Submission: Options exercised will be final and cannot be changed under any circumstances. Failing to submit preferences by 15.09.2026 will imply that the candidate has no preference, and the department will allocate zones based on administrative exigencies.
• Change in Contact Details: If there is any change in the registered email or mobile number, requests must be sent via email to the undersign at least three days prior to the last date using Annexure-C along with self-attested copies of the admit card and identity proof.

Total Vacancies Overview

The allocation is based on merit-cum-preference across 23 Cadre Controlling Authorities (CCAs) under CBIC, with a total of 76 vacancies reported for Stenographer Grade-I in 2025.
